My time at Emex
Jane Walker – Marketing Intern
My time as a summer intern with Emex has been wonderful. I worked directly with Hugh Allspaugh, Anja Hysi, Isabelle Smith, and Vlada Grebenykova in contributing to Emex’s marketing strategy by conducting market research and creating content. During my internship experience with Emex, I was able to develop my planning, problem solving, and verbal communication skills. I particularly found team tasks to be useful in improving communication, inclusivity, and receiving feedback. Becoming an intern with little experience in marketing was challenging, but I found it to be valuable in learning how to implement new marketing strategies and designing content. These are exciting times for Emex. I look forward to seeing their growth during this year.
What’s next?
This coming year, I will be completing my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Santa Clara University. My experience working for Emex has helped me gain a better understanding of the importance in measuring and regulating ESG and EHS data. With the help of Emex Software, larger corporations are capable of developing sustainability goals into tangible outcomes, that are particularly urgent in today’s climate. As I approach the start of the school year, I am feeling very thankful for the opportunity to work with such a supportive and inclusive team at Emex, whom I will dearly miss.
